I'm working on my 81. The trans shifter boot is almost totally gone. The one for the transfer is still good.
Anyone know what will fit close enough to look ok on the trans shifter?
Also the trans shifter is real sloppy. It looks like it doesn't come off as easy as my 95 4runner. Looks like there is a shaft from the shifter going towards the front of the tranny. Can I get the shifter off without having to pull the tranny. And is it an easy fix. I haven't done very much with these older Toyota's so any help will be great.
