Serious vibration when braking, help.

Had a strange vibration when braking for a while now so I decided to soak some money into my front end.Started with rotors and pads, still there, then replaced idler arm and both tie rod ends, still there, then upper and lower ball joints both sides, still there.I even thought maybe wheel bearings.Nope, still vibrates and seems worse.Smooth and tight until I hit the brakes at speed then its like a death wabble.I'm stumped and concerned. Its my daily driver.95 4x4 pickup 3.0 someone help please.

How's the balance and air pressure in the tires? Broken or loose motor, diff, or transmission mount? Driveline issue?

Thanks rworegon and maco35.I ran through your suggestions.Turns out one of the new rotors I replaced was bad, I bought a third rotor from Allied instead of Advance, gambled on the passenger side, replaced it, problem solved.

Glad you found the problem. Hate it when it's a new part that is bad.

Often times even from the factory they recommend you turn your rotors on a brake lathe just to ensure you don't have lateral run-out. You may have been able to shave some off rather than having to buy an all new one. Although I would have returned it for the warranty if they had one.

Did you ever actually measure the run-out? http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...6-2wdpd606.pdf (page 23) I find it very odd that you got a "bad" disk; there isn't too much to how they are made.

BUT if you had a bent bolt or even just crud under the bolt, I could imagine that the rotor would not sit flat. And that should cause vibration on braking. Your second replacement might have just gotten it installed better.

I've had a couple that came from the factory that I checked them on the brake machine and has some minor run out. I don't know about shaking the vehicle but might have caused some brake shudder.
