They are not that bad. Just get yourself alot of extensons together, and get a wobble extension.

Easy stuff

Hole Saw:
I hate the top two bolts on the tranny so I cut two holes in the cab for easy access. I will have to find a 1" plug for the holes now. This may not be a good mod for those who want to keep a lot of the dash stuff though.

toyospearo - thats exactly what im gonna do, except keep the x member bolted up. Im even leaving the front shaft bolted up.

I just need to get those stupid 2 bolts out and im good.

I thought about maybe taking the exhaust off at the header on the driver sider but i dont think im going to do that.

Its gonna be fun doing this with out a tranny jack, maybe ill just bust out the welder and some scrap steel. Then get a cargo strap and strap it to the jack.
That's exactly what I did, worked like a champ. Welded the bracket I made to the jack and cut it off when I was done with it.

Man, Wish I could found one of those for free... or even found it down here in Acapulco Mexico ... I´ve got an 86 4x4 stock pick up 2 years ago and I have never seen that manual...I´m a newby, and I don´t know but I have a feeling about it...

I got the tranny out!!!! Got some long extensions and got it from behind the t case. Then we were hitting the t cast shifter on the hole but we got it out in about 30 min.

Looks like my rear main was pukin out oil, no wonder why ive been goin though a qt an oil change.

My pilot bearing was GONE, ive been hearing it but didnt hink anything of it.

Nasty crap in there

Heavy marks on my flywheel, i dont see any cracks but i do know its warped. Ill see what the machine shop says tmr.

Part of the pilot bearing, the rest is in the flywheel.

There wasnt any wear on the fingers but I was almost down to the rivets on the clutch disk.
