Sensor problem..truck is dead
Changed the oil today, filter wouldn't come off, got the wrench and wreaked havic...got it off....and pulled the wire out of "A" sensor on the left side of the oil filter now the truck won't start. Have tried connecting wire into new connector and everything and it WONT START. It won't even turn over. I REALLY need some help guys...kind of desperate. Do I have to buy a new sensor? I don't even know what the sensor is!

I believe you pulled the wire off the knock sensor. On a 22re the knock sensor is right behind the oil filer, when I changed mine I had to remove the filter. I'm not sure having the wire off it would cause it not to run though. I'd try and put it back...
Also check the connections on the starter.

If your looking at the oil filter from the fender well, it's to the left of the oil filter, and to the right of the starter (in between the oil filter and starter). I tried putting the wire back and it will not crank, it won't do anything at this point.

Sounds like the knock sensor. I had this happen once, when I changed the knock sensor. I know I hit the wires going to the starter when trying to get it out. When it wouldn't turn over I messed with the wires on the starter and then I was good to go. What motor is this on?

I'll go out and play with the solenoid wire and see if that does anything..I sure do hope so. I just paid 49 bucks for all the oil products and there all just sitting in the engine lol.

Good news and bad news guys...the good news is is that I got it started...but it too, forever to crank and once it did, it idled like it was having convulsions but it smoothed out quickly...Heres the BAD:
The starter solenoid wire is loose...
The check engine light is on...
The truck will barely move, it seems to be really bogged down, i had to leave it in third to get up the road and when you press the gas...it just boggs it down...WTH!! Any help!?

Have you figured out where the wire came from? Maybe this is still an issue and the loose starter wire was another issue??? Try cleaning up the terminal of the wire that was pulled off.
