to sell or not to sell??
i have a 95 4runner sr5 v6, i just installed option number 1 from strapp about 1000 miles ago which is a 4 inch lift and have a 2 inch body lift, safari snorkle, and custom front and back bumpers. i love the car to death but it gets about 8 to the galllon cause of the 35" mud kings, there is a leak in the power steering and both cv axle boots need to be replaced. the car itself has about 180000 on it and it has 2 pretty big dents in the front left and rear fender (body damage from offroading). so what should i do i need advice? i commute about 30 miles a day to school and home. so gas is eating me alive.

It isn't that bad.
Don't forget that the bigger tires throw the mileage off which affects the fuel mileage number you will get when you calculate it from the speedo.
The only way to get an accurate number it to either regear it to match the stock gearing and tires or to correct the speedometer for the tires. Or, you can use a known distance to figure it if you have a drive like your to work ride that you know the mileage of exactly.
35" tires are about 25% bigger than stock so at the very minimum you're probably getting at least 10mpg. Which still sucks but it better than 8.

yeah figure at 45mph (what BFG uses for rev/mile) the 35" tire is 18.19% larger than stock. So really you registered 9.5. Unless you drive with your foot on the floor thats pretty bad, even for seattle hills.
Have you done a tune up lately? And if you dialed your front end up for 4" of lift with 1.5" BJ spacers you have some serious CV angles, w/out hubs I bet that takes some power to turn. Since you get your lift from BJ spacers you could very easily lower the truck, via tbars, still clear the tires with the body lift and become more aerodynamic.
I would consider a tune up, seafoam, make sure you have good tire pressure.. and if that doesnt work then consider a different rig, but for the same amount as a beater you could get some junk yard 4.88 3rd's and get back to stock gearing..
And finally how are you calulating your mileage... I only as because just recently we had a guy on here who insisted on doing it wrong..
