Seat question?

I was wondering if a set of bucket seats from a 89 camry would fit in my 90 without any problems. Thanks

you know the only thing that keeps crossing my mind about swapping seats... not sure if you're thinking of seats out of newer vehicles, but the newer seats sit higher than the old ones, so to have the adjustability, your head would be touching the roof. maybe im being stupid, maybe not, but check the clearance of them against yours.

You're exactly right. The PO of my truck put some late model Toyota car seats (not sure of model/year) in my truck and they do sit higher than the bench seat that was in it. I think I'm going back to a bench because the increased height of the buckets just don't feel right.

just dont swap seats from a van. Not only do the seats sit higher, they come with a built in 8 inch "booster" thing at the bottom. Comfy as hell, but they'll never fit in the truck.

just take seats out of the same year 4runner, the clearence will be perfect, and you wont have to modify much, just a hole or 2.

There is a 91 4runner at the yard that had some ok seats. But they were not near as nice as the camrys seats.... For right now my buddy is going to give me his old bench seat from his old 83 truck 4x4. So I think I will just use that for the time being. Thanks for all the help guys!!

Just a update for all of you. The seats from a camry will not work in a toyota truck.
The mounting brackets are way different.
