Angry screaching noise when i let out the clutch?

so when i apply the gas and let out the clutch from a stop into first gear there is a screatching noise like something is slipping? So I replaced the clutch last weekend and ITS STILL THERE! So could it be from me not refinishing the pressure plate? or could my throttle bearing be adjusted wrong?

Please help! This is very aggravating.

is this only in first gear? if it is then its probably in the tranny. if not then it may be something else. more details will definitely help. you will find your answer on this site.

It is only in first gear, that is correct. If you guys have any other ideas but need more info than tell me what im not including, but as far as im concerned, the tranny sounds like a great place to start because that makes a lot of sense.

So an update on my issue here, i'm still toying with different ideas as to what it could be and it seems to me that it isnt my tranny because my tranny itelf feels very solid, for example the gears are tight and comfortable to shift between, its just the initiation of power that is not "right" if you will. And in response to Madmaxje, i did not resurface the fly wheel because there didnt appear to be any discoloration or imperfections to it as far as i could see, but agian this was being done in a shop where who knows how accurate my "guestimate" actually is. So im inclined to think that that is the source of my issue because thats the only thing that has remained the same between before and after i replaced the clutch. Either that, or is it the fact that i used a Napa manufactured clutch instead of say a Marlincrawler HD clutch? I'm just spit balling and i know you guys can only help so much without being able to get ur hands on what im doing.

Did you replace the pilot and throw out bearings when you did the clutch?

I'm not sure,
http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...(P_RecType%3aA)

This is the kit i used, and it says "all necessary pilots and release bearing" So if the release bearing is the throw bearing then yes. If not then i doubt it.

I apologize for the uncertainty. This was around September when we changed the clutch (Me and my dad) but since then i have done all my own work lol So considering he was the one with most the know how he "took car of it"
Unfortunately i am left with this issue that i have to figure out and fix on my own... funny how that works.
