Smile scored a 22r

Hello all so i finally found a replacement engine since my old engine had a crack. I am going from a 88 22re to a 87 22r engine. So i got a couple questions no sticker under hood to tell. What it igntion timing on a 87 22r. Next should i keep the mechanical fuel pump or go with a electric and what pump is recomended. And i am going with a after market ignion module. Whats a good 22r compatible box. And i need to know if i should increase the plug gap since going with a higher output box. And last what is the valve clearence i think its 8 intake an 12 exhaust my buddy said i was wrong. Any help or suggestions would be helpful thanks Jeff Mc

If you keep the electric fuel pump you may have to do some rigging to make it work with the 22r. Not sure about the ignition module, but for the timing and valve clearance here is a link to the factory service manual.
