I would do the sas. Regardless of if oyu do the long a-arm or not, you can only go so far without a solid axle. You will like the added articulation of the sas. I also couldnt quite get past the gigantic gray oval on that site that makes me scroll sideways...

oh i know, ie blows, but occacsionly you'll need it for sites like that.

back to the subject at hand...
not that i'm too familiar with these setups too well, but if i were gonna shell out big bucks i'd go for the system that flexes better and has the strength - sas. it's pretty routine for the 2nd gen 4runners it seems. wheel your rig lots and you'll get an idea of what you need for your truck and what your current setup will or won't do for you.

The kit handles really well fast and slow. I'm very impressed with the kit and have had zero problems with it. I guess it would depend on the type of wheeling you do to decide on which kit would be best.

Here is some more inof on the Gen II kit here and here .

this is kind of like comparing apples and oranges. if you want to go fast and jump stuff, i'd go with the IFS kit. if you want to crawl, go with the SAS. and if you just want to jump on the bandwagon because everybody and their mom has one, you're in the wrong hobby

Well put, Kyle. I agree with Calrockx. Figure out what you want to do, and then go that route. An SAS is probably going to be more expensive and more labor intensive. From what I understand, the Total Chaos is fairly "bolt on". But one is going to give very different result from another. But what do I know? I have spacers.

Would you eat an apple or an orange? Do you like blondes or brunettes? Pick one that suits your needs and/or the one you like.
