Don't mean to jack the thread, but Do you have any build pics and specs?

x2. I would be interested as well.

Another question I can't seem to find any info on...for the people that have done the 22re battery/intake swap, which (if any) of the commercial snorkel kits would work on the passenger side. Not really sure of the various body line differences between the generations and models of Toyotas. Any insight would be appreciated.

I don't think there is a right-hand side snorkel for this generation of vehicle.

There are for the later models and those won't line up with an earlier model body lines.

If you want a RH side snorkel, you'll have make one or frankenstein a newer model specific snorkel.

That intake tube running from behind the headlight into the air box can be used as a coupler. I flipped the intake tube around and made it couple into the flexible vacuum hose. I'll try to remember to snap some pics tomorrow.

same here i flipped the intake tube around and connected it to 2" ABS with a hose clamp and pipe dope... my snorkel is pretty air tight, if I put my hand over the snorkel top my truck will die...

The safari for the 3.0 petrol goes up inside the inner guard. You won't see anything in the engine compartment.

Well I was able to fab one onto my 1989 Hilux with a 22RE. First picture is with a stock fender and the second picture is with a Hannemann fiberglass fender.

You think that the safari snorkel would fit on a 4 inch hanneman flat top fender
