Safari snorkel for 1989-95?????

I have looked and I cannot find any pictures of a Safari snorkel in a 1989-95 Toyota Hilux or pickup.
If anyone has one I would like to see installed component pictures of the engine compartment area.
What items do I need to move to make this work?

The model I am looking for does not enter the engine compartment in the same area as the one in that thread.

but i don't have engine compartment pictures. if ou buy the snorkel from safari they send you everything you could ever need to get the job done. i don not believe you have to move anything. i have the 3.4 in my truck so pictures would not help you.

I have added an airbox out of a Ford Aerostar to my truck because I had added a conical air filter and threw away the old air box.
So I will need to fabricate an air inlet tube on mine as well.

They don't make a snorkel for the 22re so I had to build my own hookup between the snorkel and the airbox.
All I used was a 2" coupler (i believe) and some 2" vacuum hose (like the hose on a shop vac), a little PVC glue and it was done.
I mounted up the snorkel first and then figured out how to plumb it.
I had to cut another 2" hole in the inner fender to run the vacuum line to the air box. I then took off the intake cone behind the headlight, trimmed it and ran the vac line into it. Super easy one I had it all figured out.
I'll probably have to go back and run silicone around all the joints for a better seal.
The 22re does benefit from the added ram air at highway speeds.

It's a knock off but it works great. It's cheap and does the trick. It came with a template to line it up to the fender.
The only thing is that it doesn't come with the plumbing to connect the snorkel to the airbox. Which was fine by me because there is no kit for the 22re.

It is called throwing out an option-homebuilt instead of spending $400 'ish on buying one...same basic front end so the same principle applies...
Edit-besides his option provides better protection with less of the intake exposed...

I wasn't arguing the reasoning and added protection from the home-brew solution.
I was just pointing out the differences and questioning how someone could confuse the two.
The knock-offs are only $200 to the door. You don't get the original ARB SAFARI made snorkel but I defy anyone that says they can tell the difference between the knock-off and the original. Even side by side.

properly not as much as you but i live up in the mountains of cali and I do a bit of water crossings to get to my mining claims. and after almost hydro-locking my motor this last winter, i needed some extra insurance. total coast was $25 for 2"ABS pipe,2 hose clamps, early 90's s-10 intake, mid 90's Taurus intake, expanded metal, and a can of truck bed liner. two days to build and install, one day prep and next install. the hardest part cutting the hole in my fender...and the ARB one is just so GOD DAM BIG!!!!!
