running with the tps unhooked?

i have unhooked my tps sensor since i couldnt fix the idle and guess what it doesnt surge and run like crap anymore. maybe later ill replace it but for now its all good. what will it hurt with it unhooked. or what am i lacking?

that's strange.....mine wouldn't even run with it unhooked.

mine runs just fine i still have a high about 1600 idle but i think i can back the throttle adj screw back some.

The TPS is used by the ECU to correct timing, fuel delivery, etc., and a multitude of other things. It WILL run without it, but not well. You really need to replace it.

my truck will RUN fine without it hooked up but it has absolutely no power if i try to accelerate. i bet your running way rich with it unhooked.

my bet is you'll be replacing some fouled out spark plugs in the near future.
