Running & Then Dying!!!

Running & Then Dying!!!
My truck keeps dying everytime I let it idle for alittle bit. It seems when the truck gets up to operating temp it wants to die. The truck will start back up and then after a few seconds it will die again. When it's about to die the rpm's jump up and down like it's not getting any gas or it's choking for air. I've checked pretty much everything and I can't tell what's going on. I have done a scan of the truck and there are no codes. I have also noticed that if I do live data while the truck is running the MAF seems to just register 0.000 the whole time. Will the MAF do this to the truck? Could someone help please?
Also I have notice when trying after awhile to start the truck, I notice a very strong gas ordor.?????

i know that on BMW's (i have most experience with these) the fuel injection is adjusted based on the 02 sensor, engine temp sensor and MAF sensor to name the key players. When the engine is cold (engine temp sensor) the injectors typically are injecting more gas to make the engine run smoother. once the engine warms up to operating temp, the computer switches to look at the results from the 02 sensor and MAF sensor. I would suggest testing these 3 sensors to see if you can narrow down the problem. Try finding someone with a known working MAF and see if that helps for starters. if that doesn't help i would change the 02 sensor out (i think they usually recommend changing them every 60-80k miles anyways). if this still doesn't help, move to the temp sensor. Maybe its not working and the truck is pumping in more gas than it needs based on the false info. It is also entirely possible that you have a combination of a few things going wrong... Either way, replacing the 02 and temp sensors will only help the truck run more efficiently and they aren't that $$ if you can manage to do the work yourself.
my opinion, worth price charged
