IFS runs the 'con all the time. Front/rear lockers and armor are common. I understand if you're a decent driver and take your time, you can do most of it without much problem. If not, extensive body/drivetrain damage is likely (as with all 'wheeling)

The NorCal TTORA chapter holds a run every year...

Ive wheeled the Rubicon in an IFS...as a passenger.

One of the members here, Casey, did it in his 98 4Runner.

As I recall, he was the only IFS we saw the whole trip. And not long travel either. We made it though with no body damage, but his skids, sliders, and bumpers sure took a beating. I think the biggest thing that helped him do so well, besides some awesome driving, was the crawler. Of course, the dual lockers, 33"s, etc, and some good spotting all played a role as well.

We ran it back in June, so the summer rock stacking wasn't too much in effect. We ran from the Tahoe side entrance to around Spider lake and back.

My buddy has done quite a bit of it in a Tacoma with Total Chaos front end, sliders and 285/75/16. Definitely used the sliders. I will probably end up doing it in my 4runner.
