Rolled my truck...
I flirted with disaster a little too much. I was trying to do a mild drift around a corner on this dirt road and my right front tire caught the ditch, which drug my left front into it and flipped me once and I landed on my side. I know it was a stupid thing to do, but I was following a friend in an '85 pickup that made it perfect. There isn't a word to describe how bad I feel. I am very fortunate that I didn't get hurt seriously. A special thanks to Todd (you know who you are) for selling me a heavy duty roll bar for $50. That $50 saved my life. We were able to drive it back home after we got it flipped back over. The truck is still in great running order, but I just can't drive it because of the windshield. Pics are after these next questions. I have the broken down 2wd cab that I am going to replace mine with. Has anyone ever done this? what is involved? what do you have to pull out in order for the cab to be pulled off? Thanks, here are the pics....

Sorry to hear it.
Looks like the truck did a good job of protecting it's occupants. I can't imagine how you feel but I'm sure anyone here on YT that can help, will help (right guys!?). Good luck with the cab switch. I'll be following your progress

Can't get to crazy in them short wheel base rigs.
There's 6 mounting points for the cab. A bunch of crap in the engine compartment will need to be unhooked/removed like the radiator, battery, brake lines, fuel lines, other hoses/electrical plugs etc.. Other than that just the speedo cable, e-brake cable, and the shifter knobs that I can think of.

Sucks! Just this past week I came around a corner on a dirt road too fast and I hit some soft dirt and began to drift and I over corrected and drifted the other way slamming me into the sand bank.. Messed up my steering wheel alignment. I drove home with my steering wheel looking like...
That, and every bump I hit it tired to steer me into the other lane, kinda scary.

Yeah, yours was a little more severe than mine, damage wise. My friend and I did a 3/4 barrel roll in my old 90 Toyota. Dented everything to hell and smashed up the cab alright, but it ran once we flipped it over. even drove straight. The alignment was good. Show me an S-10 or a Dakota or a Ranger that would withstand that abuse, and ill show you a modified truck.
im glad to hear you are alright. That thing wont take much, and 85TurboRunner beat me to it, as i knew of a thread of someone that just did it.
did you have fun, anyways?

Glad you walked away. Number one best thing. Driving home was just icing hunh? Whatever you do be sure to swap the hood ornament, it really is trick.
I wonder could you fillet the top off both trucks and have a good welder reattach? Body shops been doin it for a long time.
