Rod Ends for SB Disconnects

Well guys Ive come to the point where I need some Sway Bar Disconnects. After pricing some already made It seems simple enough to make my own for much cheaper. The bushings from Energy Suspension and most of the other hardware I know I can get at Lowes, Home Depot or OSH. the only thing stopping me at this point is the rod ends I need to complete a set of disco's. My question to those of you who sell or have made your own, where did you buy the Rod Ends? If anyone can point me in the right direction for these I would appreciate it.

For those that arnt sure what im talking about here is a link:

They seem so simple and if I could just find a place around town that sells Rod ends like those I would be a happy wheeler.

Heim joint I think is what you are looking for. If so, search and you shall find loads of shops the sell them.

I've looked all over for them myself. The name of the part if a HEIM joint not HELM joint. They also go by "spherical rod end" or "spherical bearing". A hardware store will not carry them as they are used on high-performance custom steering setups. Here in Vancouver, the cheapest I can find them is $25 ea. On Ebay search for 7/16" heim joint, spherical rod end or spherical bearing. They are about $7.

HEIM is a company name. They are called spherical rod end bearings and are available from several companies. HEIM is actually rather pricey.

Rod end bearings are very common in aircraft. Look in Aircraft Spruce's catalog or Wick's. They have lots of sizes.
