Yep, they did in north america. However, it was 84-88 on the trucks, and 84-89 on the 4runners. It was a stock option, you had to order it and they installed them at the port.

Ive since removed the tach and installed a SR5 cluster.

OP isnt connected as its not as accurate as the Autometer manual one I have.
Warning lights have been removed as well.
Working on a new mounting panel for the guages.

Also - When I did the SR5 swap - I pulled the ODO apart and reset the meter to read the proper 353,173 miles. I think the 1000 and 10000 are slighlty off - I'll just have to drive it to reset it. Its not too hard to reset the odo. Take it apart and have look see.

To get the speedo needle off - use two "butter" knives to lever the needle off.

My god there are plenty of gauges up there! I found my inclometer laying on the ground of a junk yard...then it was in my 4runner that got wrecked then it made its home in my pickup. That tach is awsome. I wish i had a rubber cap for the shift light. Its really bright at night!

I think it looks OK, I would remove the shift light if possible, and mount the tach closer to the A-pillar (probably no room though).

hijack> I saw a big a$$ tach in a car (Chevy Cavalier). Upon further inspection, it was an automatic. Now thats RICE.

i have 3 tachs in my truck!!!

stock autometer sport comp (from my neon race car((dont ask yes it was fast))) and last one a little black 3incher under the hood for tuning and setting timing by my self

stock one jumps around and dont work right

5in monster well when your 4feet under water and spining (boging) and your looking ahead so you dont hit that poor tree in your way you want that shift light there so your not burning up the rev limit cause everyone knows (91toyota yes you) if you use it up it goes!!
