removing rotors question

I have ADD hubs. I can get the cone washers off, but the outer flange only comes off about half an inch before it hits something. Is this just the threads on the bolts ? How to get it off the rest of the way ?

Take and post a picture so we have a better idea of the problem and where you're at in the job, and always give the specifics of your vehicle when you post a question, otherwise you'll get guesses at answers that may or may not be helpful (better yet, put your vehicle specifics in your signature so they show up in all your posts.)

That being said, my guess will be that you didn't remove the small dust cap and the bolt and washer that hide under the dust cap at the outer end of the axle.

The truck is a 92 x-cab 4x4

And yes that sounds like the problem, thanks.
