hey everyone just took my 1989 toyota truck 4x4 in to the toyota house and getting the recall done on it anyone with this year model truck or 4runner take it in.its the steering bracket just call ur closes toyota place and give them your vin and they cann look up ur recalls.plus they do a 27 point check of ur truck thanks greg

I did mine a 2 years ago. IIRC they called it "steering relay rod". They replaced the whole draglink.

It was done in one day, i dropped it off, and pick it up, I had no problems.

I have an '89 4Runner, the dealer says mine is not covered by the warranty. The listing of VIN numbers I have seen does not include my rig.

Did they open it up to more VINs recently?

 

is there a list of applicable vins so i don't have to contact them shmucks unless absolutely necessary? i don't like that place.

 

i dnt know they just told me that its that year model and for trucks or 4runners

 

I got a letter in the mail stating my VIN needed this recall. Called the dealer and verified, then made an appointment.
