Rear U-Bolt Thread pitch and pattern
Hey guys im installing 1 - 1/2 inch blocks in my rear to fix the sag (JUST TEMP) and i see on autozone.com they sell longer SQUARE u-bolts, what legnth/size threads do i need? the smallest is -U BOLT SQUARE 1/2"X 6" MKWAV
would that work ?

maybe try measuring the ones you have and add the height of the block? it's ok if the bolts are a little bit longer than you need, but too short and, well...i'm sure you can figure that one out...

depends on what shape the inside of the u-bolts are coming in contact with. on a stock truck, they are up against the leafs/bump stop, hence the squared off u-bolt. if you have a u-bolt flip, they point upwards and come in contact with the axle, which is round.
are you sure you want blocks? so many other remedies that might be better for you.

What exactly are the other remedies ? AAL's are the only other one im familiar with... the only reason why I tried blocks is I had a kit lying around - i dont mind AAL's as long as i dont have to spend over $100 bucks and how hard are they to install vs. blocks ?
thanks
