rear suspension ??

ok so I have a BJ spacer up front and my t-bars are tweaked so Im sitting at 15" fender to rim and I have an add-a-leaf in the rear and my rear is still sagging and I was wondering what the best/cheapest way to get it close to level I was thinking a shackle has anyone run the shackle from pep boys its 5/16" x 1.5" with holes at 4", 6", 8" (center bolt hole to center bolt hole)

Arrow eBay some shackles, 2" lift, durable & cheap too

The AutoZone shackle doesn't look offset or dependable, seeing as you intend on taking this pickup on the highway.

The greaseable shackles that I have on eBay are just what you need. I didn't bother installing them and after having them around for too long, I'm offering them up to the highest bidder.

Thread for shackles, Daystar 89-95 4WD 2" Lift

eBay Daystar 2" Lift Shackles, 40% off manufacturer's price, and new too

hey "norcalsvx" I noticed in your thread about your truck you have a one piece drive shaft compared to the stock 2 piece how does that work does it change any thing or is it just something you did?

it works fine and it is a lot lighter than the 2 piece, i had it made at a local driveshaft shop because my old one was shot-

63 chevies would be the way to go if you can find a welder-

Shackes are cheap, and easy, and are a 1 hour job, if you don't have too much rust.

The coil spring mod is okay, but not my thing. They seem to work well, but I've heard they limit flex.

Best bet would be to ditch the AAL's, and put the truck on the ground. Figure out how many inches you need to go up to get the rear to match the front. Then double that number, and buy shackles of that length. So, if you need to go up 2 inches, you need a 4" shackle.

This will give you the best performance for the least money.
