rear heater...removal or replacement?

well since i now live in Belize, i have been thinking it would be nice to have either more storage or a cooling fan rather than a heater. so is there anyone out there that has done this? cause it might be the place for my on board air compressor for the ARB lockers or what ever is needed i guess.

I removed the lines to the rear heater on mine. You just need to block off the connections on the fire wall. After than it's a simple matter of removing the lines under the floor and the rear heater itself. You will need to block the hole in the floor where the water lines connected to the the heater core.

There is one problem: The center console bolts to the top of the heater. If you remove the heater, you'll need to fabricate a new mounting bracket for the console.
