Before you all bash me, i did search and i have read a ton of information, but it all seems misleading, or not my application.

I have a stock 93 4runner except for 3.4 swap. the rear end is sagging bad. i have seen Bilstein this and OME 891 or 906 that, blah blah, I need a solid answer. what to get to raise the rear end back level.

Do you tow anything? I used air bags and like them. Some use the Zuk mode, but with bags you have some flexabliity as far as ride and height.

 

Zuk mod won't work on a 2nd gen 4Runner

OP- get the OME

 

OME 2900 will raise the rear about 1and1/2 inch or so over unloaded stock hight.. I put these on my '95 Runner and I like them

OME 2901 will raise the rear about the same amount, but they are much stiffer, I'm glad I went with the 2900s'

oh, and i pull a heavy trailer frequently. so, loaded...unloaded. dudn't matter. great ride. great ride height. and, a better price than everything else i'd looked at while still being a quality item

 

Are these the ones you're talking about? I purchased these about a year ago but haven't gotten around to installing them yet. I did the same research as the OP and ended up focusing on these Moog springs as being a good fix.

Those are the ones I got and they worked great. Stiffened up the rear end a little bit. Overall very satisfied.

 

I put in new Moog coil springs, no frills, and it did the job, didnt cost much and looks great.

 

And they didn't raise the back end too much? That's sort of why I've held off on installing them, I didn't want to have them over compensate and raise the back end higher than the front.

Stiffening up the ride is a plus too.

 

those are the ones. no...they didn't raise the back end too much. there was some initial settling in after some heavy use, but i've had them on for maybe a year. still riding at stock height

Great thread, just wondering if you have to extend the break lines. I was thinking about the putting the 1 1/2 inch spacer and replacing my shocks as well.

Sorry, for the confusion, I was going to replace the original springs with the moog c255 springs first. Then add the 1 1/2 inch spacers

 

if you're going to that, then you'll need longer brake lines and shocks. you're gonna do spacers on the front, too? if not, i don't see why you'd wanna install spacers in the rear. unless you want it looking all jacked up in the rear. that'll make it drive funny

 

Moogs fixed my sag perfectly. Installation wasn't difficult. I think you'll be happy with the level of the rear if you use them.
