Radiator replacement
Have you guys have any experience with aftermarket radiators? My OEM mounts cracked, cskauto shows a ready-rad 432272 and a Spectra CU-50 for 4x4s. I've heard bad things about ready-rad quality but it's a single row alum/plastic radiator with 1" depth while the Spectra is an 1.25".
Anyone have any feedback?

I need one as well. my OEM mounts are fine, but the top of mine has 4 pin hole leaks. I was screwing around and looked at the LCE engineering radiator... 600 bucks, fully aluminum. REALLY expensive but is a gem.

I'm running a aluminum/plastic tank one row radiator I got from Summit. No problems yet...knock on wood. It seems to cool better than the 3 row copper/brass rad it replaced, even though its only 1 row. The one row with aluminum is deceiving because its one BIG row. There is actually more core to fin surface contact than the 3 little rows.
Plus the coolant flows better with one big row.

I've heard others on this forum recommend KOYO. This is what I'd get.

replaced mine with a copper and brass one from a local shop. I personally am not a fan of a plastic and alum. ones. I went in with the my mind made up that i was getting a copper and brass replacement but he also offered the other. The guy at the shop told me that the alum does not absorb as much heat from the fluid as the alum. I can not confirm that, but i know a few people running the plastic and alum. ones with no problems and they are about half the price. 80-120 or 220 for brass and copper.

I bought a 3 row CSF from Radiatorbarn a couple years ago. It works, as in it fit, cools well and doesn't leak.
The drain plug is a pain if you're used to the nice downspout on OEM radiators. Instead of having a tube to direct the coolant down into a bucket as you back the plug out, it just sprays out everywhere as you loosen it, then shoots out rearward.

It's a different setup. Toyota had a horizontal extension with an outlet at the bottom. Back the plug out and the coolant would run down through the tube. Very nice. CSF has a plug screwed into a hole. Loosen it and coolant sprays out everywhere around the sides until the plug is completely out, then it shoots somewhere near your front axle. Have fun draining any coolant if you're trying to save it.
