Ever considered an electric fan swap?

If you've got an extra $50-$60 to throw at it, use the search feature and you can dig up tons of info on putting together a custom fit kit.

A lot of people swap in the fans out of Ford Touras's because they have two speed options and fit in with very minor trimming to it's shroud. I went all out and just bought a new fan and a digital control unit instead, but that ran me almost $120 in the end. Well worth it though in my opinion considering the engine torque it freed up.

Just get one from a junkyard. http://www.car-part.com is a portal to hundreds of 'em. If you're lucky, you'll get a spare fan clutch thrown in for not too much $$.

I've got a fan off a 4Runner I'm parting out. If you are interested, PM me with a zip code, and I'll get you a price with shipping.

For what it's worth, I've had trouble with my Hayden controller twice. It doesn't like to get wet, so it quit once in the snow, and once in the rain. I'm going to mount it in a box to remedy the problem. My $0.02.
