Quick tire question

I currently have a set of 30x9.5x15 on SR5 wheels on my stock suspension 3.0 94 pickup 4x4.

I’m thinking of upping to 31x10.5x15 keeping the same wheels.

I don’t think I’ll have fitment issues. But how about performance issues. I was not looking at regearing.

Should I be considering a metric size ?

When I got my truck it had stock size tires on it which I believe were the equivalent of 29’s, I put on 31’s and I instantly could tell the difference. BUT I have a 22re so it really hated the bigger tires. Regeared to 456’s and it put it back to the stock feel. No fitment issues at all or rubbing. But being is you already have 30’s and the 3.0 I would imagine your butt dyno won’t be effected

I appreciate the feedback. As you can see I have a lot of room for taller tires but I was concerned about. The 3.0 is no power house and even though it’s not my daily driver I don’t want to be hating the new size.

I will add that I had KO2 BFG Tires and they sure worried me a few times on slick streets. But a better tire I don’t need.

Well I think people that think the 3.0 is the “3.slow” haven’t owned a 22re

Well I had one when I was 17 or so. I didn’t remember it being a slug.

I do have the upgraded flywheel (Lc engineering) on the clutch. I always felt like mine was plenty fast

Plenty of room. Should have put these on from the start. Plenty of power. Don’t notice any difference at all as far as get up and go.
