Quick question

I have a 2WD auto 1988 toyota pickup and I just went outside to start it up and move it, after just starting it up an hour ago, and it cranked up 4 times but then the engine stalled so I had to crank it again. I finnaly got it to run and then started it up again fine but I am just curious what could have caused this? Should I maybe go get a new battery?

Thanks,

John

check the alternator at a parts store, and then have them check the battery...
also, check all grounds and make sure that they are clean...
