Question Quick lock, lunchbox locker any good???

Hey what do you guys think about the quick lock lunchbox locker, is it reliable, how does it work Could I put it in, or should I just go with a spool? Any advice on this would help, heres the lunch box locker, its going in a 94 toyota pickup 4x4

from what i hear they work great. i have also heard great reviews about true trac lockers. they are pretty much the same thing. i wouldnt go with a spool unless you only use the truck for offroading. they are a hassle on wet roads but i know a few people that just learned to drive with them and dont worry about it.

go aussie if you go that route, for a wheeling rig i say spool the rear and selectable or aussie in the front. tru trac, LSDs, are not a locker. and i dont notice my lincoln locker unless im doing a u turn.

My Lock-Rite lunchbox locker is great. You can probably do better than $250 though, and it looks like the quick-lock brand replaces your side gears too for some reason.

I got mine from PORC on pirate4x4 for $218, but most guys do better than that even.

Trail Gear just started selling Quik Lok I think...I don't imagine you'll find one cheaper than Trail Gear.

Well My truck is a daily driver, and I was wondering if there was any difference between a lunchbox locker and a spool? Could I install the spool myself, same goes with the lunchbox locker, but thanks for all the advice on where to find one.

Theres a huge difference between a lunchbox and a spool. One differentiates and one doesn't. Find the locker FAQ in the offroad tech section.

spools eat tires on the street, your tires will wear out in 15,00 miles with a spool.
