Alright, I've read the other threads on coolant and the various colours but nobody mentioned the clear high-mileage stuff, so having said that can I pour some in the resevoir to top up even though I'm running green n'garden hose water 50/50 until I flush the system?

 

If it says on the label that it's safe with other coolants, yes.

I found a new coolant at NAPA that is gold in color & specifically designed for Toyota aluminum engines. I'm using it successfully on a newly rebuilt 3VZE with @ 2,000 miles on it so far with no issues.

 

Doesn't mention much about compatibility...hmmmmm haven't had to drive it yet but still want to make sure...anyone else?....whoops, found it in tiny printing, it's compatible with all colour coolants.

 

Yeah be careful when mixing stuff.. that can really throw things out of wack, sometime severe.
