quality of ebay side mirrors

hi all,
so my 4runner has one mirror from an 86 and one correct 88 mirror. thinking about getting the correct ones.

there are a bunch on ebay. anybody have any experience with some of these companies? "kool vue" and "amautoparts"

do they actually fit and work? are they crap?

I got some from that discount auto parts and they seem okay. I havent had any problems with them yet although the plastic dosnt seem as strong as stock so im pretty sure they wouldnt survive a hit from something

Mine don't hold there position on the interstate. When I get over 70 they rotate down a little so that I'm looking at the ground instead of behind me. I tried to tighten them but it didn't work so next I'm going to try and roughen up the "ball and socket" joint so they grip better.

I have the stock ones and they don't hold their position very well. I put some permatex in the socket to help them stay put.

I just got one from Am auto, very light, feels cheaply made. I only bought it to keep inside the truck incase i get pulled over for no mirrors on the half doors. thought about putting it on, but after seeing how flimsy it seems...ill just keep it with me.

I have the Kool Vue Mirrors and have no issues. They are not as heavy and as strong as the oem ones but they cost a hell of a lot less too.

I've been thinking about getting these. I thought I had decided to leave the stocks, but after seeing this thread I can't decide again. You guys that have bought the cheap-o's think they are worth it?:
