Put my Hella 500s on!!

I put my Hellas on last night, here are the first pics of it! The only thing I used out of their kit was the lights. My truck was already wired for extra ligts, and all I had to do was connect them!! They come on with the brights.

Edit: Dang, I forgot to tuck in those wires...hahaha oh well.

Is that legal there? When I put them on my last vehicle (a Jeep...yeah I know) the guy at the shop told me I had to use a separate switch to turn on and off. Said it was against the law to have them come on with the brights. But that was back in PA.

They aren't, but nothing some easy cutting can't cure.

sts2usnss: I do have a separate switch, I just forgot to mention it, I can only turn them on when the brights are on. Thats what I meant. Sorry for the confusion

faubrunner64: No the caps arent reversable, the bottom is specially formed to fit around the bottom of the light.

norcalsvx: Yeah, we dont have that anal of cops here in texas, plus the roads are really dark in some parts, so you really do need to use them! I havent been pulled over yet with them off!

Thanks to everyone else, I am really impressed by the quality of these lights too, they are built really well, cant you use these and upgrade to 100watt bulbs?

I hard wired mine right to the battery so i can turn them on any time and when the truck is off. I love them I had mine mounted to the bumper and when I put my winch on two weeks ago I had no bumper left. So I mounted them to the air inlets on the hood be the windshield. I think it looks awesome. If i can figure out how to get pictures on here I can show ya'll.

Use Photobucket.com and just copy the image code!! Its really easy. Yeah I didnt want to risk running my battery down though, thats why i did it like this!

Thats why I bought a Yellow Top deep cycle Optima... actually it's for the winch... but works well for the lights too.
