Pulling a trailer with a 22RE 4Runner...?
#42
I wasn't pulling a trailer at the time but when driving between 0 feet elevation and 7K feet elevation I notice a huge power difference. Would this indicate a bad AFM or O2 sensor? Is this normal for the 22RE? What would be a fix for this? I'm guessing my engine is running rich because of the lack of O2 at the higher elevation but I'm not sure (I'll have to pull the plugs).

I bumped into this Toyota Guide to Towing, has weight capacities per model in part 3, state laws, different hookup education, and even lessons on how to back a boat into the water without wrecking stuff.

Sorry, don't have a clue about oxygen issues.
My truck came with a bumper ball, i'm not sure it can successfully tow a shopping cart...Well...not today for sure...

i've got a 88 22RE AUTO 4x2 pickup and want to tow my tiny 1500lbs race car on 500lbs single axle trailer. rating on the pickup is 2000lbs. a) can i tow (primarily flats) and california says anything more than 1500lbs needs to have trailer brakes. b) won't trailer brakes on a single axle just pitch the trailer down onto the hitch? i've got 1ton rear springs so pretty stiff in back.
thanks,
thanks,

I plan on going with the '82 Supra AFM when I do my cold air intake battery swap mod.
