Pulling Out a 3VZE: A Couple Questions

Outa my '93 4x4 p/u. I'm thinking to pull it out without the transmission and transfer case. Right now I'm at a point where all I've got left to do is undo hoses and wires, and separate the transmission and the engine.

On my 22R vehicles I used to unbolt the transmission crossmember to tilt the engine back for easy access to the bell housing bolts. Is this the way to go with the 3vze? It has a 5 spd.

Should I unplug the wiring harness from the ECU and take it out with the engine? Or take it off the engine first?

I would pull the ECU and leave the wiring on the engine.
