Pulled some codes..

I just replaced the head gasket in the swap 4runner, and thought i was god after it started and ran. However, one injector was leaking so i had to pull off the efi manifold again to replace the o ring. put it all back together and it starts! the timing is terrible and we continued to adjust it until it seemed right. So we shut her off

and...

no start...

so we adjust it more and it was at about 5 and it starts! We drive it around, get back..

Then we turned it off, tried to start it 15 seconds after and it wont fire up, only turns over. and its been like that since.

Im confused.

Its getting fuel, and there is a spark, but its not turning over for some reason. All the hoses are in the right place, no vaccuum leaks that i know of. I dont know whats going on

So i pulled some codes with my paper clip and got

Code:
 Code
24 - Intake air temp sensor signal -
and what I think to be Air Flow meter signal - Code 31

So right now im quite lost as towards what I should do.... I just want the tranny out of this thing but i I want the engine to run if i put my automatic in it and sell it. kinda a waste of $250 for the HG if I cant pull this off

Make sure the MAF sensor is connected at the air cleaner. The air temp sensor is part of the same connector. Check the pins in the MAF and in the connector for damage and then troubleshoot the MAF and ECU. Download the FSM here: http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/index.html and start troubleshooting using the MFI System section in the engine chapter. Good luck,
