Project 88 4Runner - So it begins......

1988 3.0 V-6 Auto

Motor and transmission out of it right now. Previous owner was going to V-8 it and lost interest. $500 brought it home. This may take a while, but I'm excited!

And two used (but rust free) front fenders....

Also have a used rust free right rear quarter to replace the current one.

I'll keep you updated on the plans and the progress.

I hope the engine/transmission was included with the sale?

Yes, I have the engine/transmission as well. It's complete, just in pieces!

Yeah, it wasn't my first choice for interior color. But it's hard to be picky on a 20 year old $500 project rig.

Hell, 500 bucks who cares what colour it is? For a few bucks you could paint most of the stuff in there....

Nice find. I got my rust bucket for $600.
Wish I had me a passengers fender....
But seriously yes very red interior I got lucky I guess my interior is tan a little less loud.
I guess that's why they make those dupicolor spray's to change interior colors.

We got a local guy who parts out ALOT of 1st gen 4runners and trucks of that era, so if I decide to change interior color it won't be too hard. He has several gray interiors. But to tell you the truth, I'll probably live with the red. Not that big a deal.
