Prestone flushing kit 2.4l
I have a 95 Pickup(tacoma) 4x4 2.4l and I want to flush the radiator and heating core so I bought the Prestone Radiator flushing kit. I used it on my s-10 fears ago and it was great. The one that uses garden hose.
I was wondering if anybody could help me find the heating hose that goes to the water pump.
I want to use the Toyota red how much should I buy?
Do I flush it with distilled water?
What ratio?
Thank you

its on the driver's side towards the firewall...Toyota Red? is that antifreeze or somethin? if it is I wouldn't even bother, coolant is coolant, and there is a capacity chart in the back of the owners manual that has the spec. Flushed it with normal water and the prestone radator flush.

Toyota red is the coolant used in the 3rd gen forward 4Runner & 4th gen forward Tacoma/Pickup. It has a lower silicone (?) level so it doesn't corrode the cooling system and destroy the water pump seals as quickly compared to the regular green coolant. Anything prior to 1996 won't see much of a difference between green & red coolant since the older trucks were designed for the green stuff.

.....and actually the green coolant used in the older trucks is not the same as the green stuff sold in parts stores today. It was another version of the non silicate red type coolant.......color alone does not tell you anything.
