Hello i was wondering if eney of you no what that little thing on the bottom side of the pump has 2 hoses going to it its some kinda vacume thing what the hell dose it do cuz mins broke and they want like 95 smackers for one is it necesary

It idles the engine up approx. 200 rpm when parking, if you can find a plug that fits it take it out and throw it away. I did mine that way because it was leaking fluid .

so its useless im guessing? i got one at the scrap yard cuz i broke the little nipples on mine only paied like 3 bucks for it so

I've replaced 2 power steering pumps and always wondered if I got the vacuum lines on there right. Either I did, or it doesn't make any difference.

I left mine off, never had a problem, and I wont go back later and put one in either.
