Power Steering Question

1987 Toyota 22RE, it turns great to the left, but turns hard to the right. Do you think its the pump?

If it is good one way and not the other I would be looking at the steering box not the pump.

Did you make sure your fluid is topped off?

I was afraid of that...that is why I did not mention the box.

The fluid is full.

Its now going easy then hard going both directions, almost like there is air in the system, but I have not had it apart.
