Power steering leaking

Power steering leaking
I have a 89 4runner 3.0 and the power steering is leaking bad just can't tell where exactly it's coming from thou , anybody know what usually gives to make them leak ? Looks like there's the reservoir and to lines running to it ?

I experienced the same thing with my 1992 3vze. I think it is common for the seals in the pump to wear down and start leaking. I bought a PS pump rebuild kit and found some excellent threads here that described the rebuild process. As I recall the kit is not that expensive, and it solved the problem for me.

yep, my gear box had been leaking pretty badly. I put a bottle or so of that lucas stuff in there with no joy, ended up replacing the gear box. There is a dude a few miles from me that remans them for a decent price. That's about all he does and is very knowledgable about them.
They sell kits to replace all the seals in there and the fsm shows how to do it, but it looked like a can of worms I didn't feel like opening at the time.
It is pretty easy to replace the gear box itself though.
