Power options conversion 1991 pickup

So my 1991 sr5 extended cab pickup has no AC, power windows, power locks, and no sunroof; but has cruise control. I really want to convert my manual locks and windows to electric, my buddy has it in the same year truck and I like it more than my manual stuff. Is it possible to convert both? I noticed that his arm rest on the door has a light on it plus all the buttons on both sides, do I just get two of those rests with all the buttons and lights from a donor truck, and the motors etc for the windows and install it? Or will getting two complete donor doors and slapping them on be easier? Or am I better off just buying a stock truck that already has it all?

Most if not all of these trucks came without AC and the dealer added AC. Not hard to do on that part. The windows and locks for the most part if I am correct, it as to be wired into the main harness from the factory. You could splice or run power wires but I dont care for that. The doors will have all of the spots for motors and mounting tabs. I would suggest finding a truck with the options on it. A member added electric mirrors to his and said if he was doing it over again, he would not have done it. He is glad he has his mirrors now but said it was difficult.

I would also get the doors complete.

I have never really looked to prove this is true!!

I have heard the harness for the power options is all ready in your truck.

One just needs to unplug it from the donor vehicle.

As the wiring for the windows is a little interesting to do from scratch if you don`t have the EWD to reference.

I must admit I like my Power windows the door locks I could do without.
