Mine did not retract all the way also, but if I still have it
your welcome to it.

If your looking for a new one, e-bay has them, Pretty sure they come with plastic retracting cable.

Hey sorry if you all have already mentioned this or know already, I looked at the link provided above for the power antenna and noticed it was for a 96 - 2000 4 runner, I have a 99 and when I installed a new head unit I noticed the power antenna that ran to the factory head unit , and a second antenna wire, wondering what it was because the end was a little different, I jumped on yoda tech and learned it was a antenna that was built into the passenger side rear window. I got an adaptor at Walmart and it works great. No more power antenna. I always wondered why the rear side windows were a little different looking. Mines a 99 sr5 3.4 , not sure if all models are the same. Easy way to tell is look at the rear side windows , the passenger side kinda has a outline of a defroster looking square, and the drivers side doesn't.

I'm on the mobile version and can't see everything. I assume its for a 3 gen 4runner , if I'm wrong let me know and ill remove this info. Take it easy

Hoghead, Thank you for this. I have to power off my radio/antenna when pulling into the garage because my garage door is so low (old ranch house with garage below). I've broken two masts so far, but this fix should take care of that problem for good . I love this place.

best,

YB
