I just bought my 4Runner a month ago, put my lift and new tires on last weekend, and just joined this site today because I have a question that I would love to have some insight on but don't know how to start a new post so I can ask my question. Please give me some guidance someone. I know this isn't the place to ask but I figure I will ask it here and then repost my ? in the right location once I figure that out with some help from my Toyota Family. I bought the truck with 86,500 original miles, I know this because all of the documentation the One Owner supplied me with, drove it 500 miles home and gave it an oil change with 87k. The thing runs amazing, engine sounds great, runs strong, however I just checked the oil with 89k just to see where it was. I had no concerns because the way it ran but low and behold and quart and a half low There is a little smoke in the morning when I start it up but goes away when it gets warm. There is no evidence of splattered oil coming out of the exhaust. Where is my oil going? Please help.

Nice looking rig!!! I'd say it's slowly leaking through the valve stems. A little smoke at startup is nothing I'd concern my self with. Now I'm saying a little smoke.

Here is the list of where you can find the correct places to post. I know at first its' a bit confusing. https://www.yotatech.com/forumindex.php

First road trip with the new truck

Winter fishing trip

Trip to Whisler, BC- found out you can sleep one guy and two girls in the back of a 4Runner.

Camping set up

Packing the snow down on the neighbour's driveway

Flop! Don't do locker donuts in a parking lot with no rear sway bar

The fix:

Testing out the new IFS flex- slackened T-bars, and BJ spacers, swaybar discos

"Bible camp trail" note: the hood is open to let some heat out while moving slow

this year's fishing trips (16 000km/ 10 000 miles worth)

jambed a stick between the headlight and the grill busting the headlight adjust screw mounts

Sick of my truck yet?

The truck itself in in great shape. The body isn't stellar, but that's what happens when you use it as a snowplow, pickup, trail-breaker, roll it over, let it sit in the rain 6 months of the year etc...

I got interested in Toyota truck originally because they're all over BC back roads. After punching a nice hole in the oil pan of the parents VW van, I bought the 4Runner for myself.

Hey Matt, did you flop your runner twice?? I thought you flopped it once trying to avoid a dog.. or is that just what you told us

We should go wheelin next year!

I need to do some front end work, new d-shaft and such before I start to beat on my rig off road... Too bad im broke!

gotta love those runners, so nice to take on road trips.
I picked up a factory rack to install on the g/f's 4runner for camping trips. Gets a little cramped since she has to haul all of our crap

good ol 22re, hauls 5000lbs of truck and gear with oversizes tires and 4.10's

I cant wait for snow.. I had so much fun last winter, plowing through 4ft snow drifts like it was nothin! I would watch all my neighbors clear out their cars/trucks so they could get into the street, if they were lucky.
Then I come along with a broom, sweep off the snow on the top of the truck, get in and drive off through the 2ft of snow surrounding my rig hehe
