Howdy! Happy to present my new (to me) '88! Got the Softopper put on today & gave it a thrice over to put together a quick fix list. Biggest one is gonna be dealing with the fender rust in the short to medium term. Already looking at lifts and the 3.4 swap for the long list. This is my first Toyota of any kind, always wanted a 1st gen but I've mainly been a Jeep Wrangler and Mitsubishi Montero guy until this. Open to any suggestions, she'll suit me as a daily but I'm trying to make sure she'll see me through on long haul, multistate road trips.
Army veteran so I was feeling sentimental.😊 I sold my BMW to paint over the ugly, rusty red..I might sell it. It sits in my backyard..so sad. I live in the desert and she has no AC....thanks again for the compliment!
My 1994 all original pickup. My dad owned it since new. He passed away. Now she’s mine. Thinking about restoring it. It has 240,000mile on her and still runs amazing.

Here's my 1989 SR5. I bought it new in Detroit. I just had it fully repainted to the original Medium Red Pearl. 307,000 miles. I'm doing some overdue maintenance (tune up, fluids, replace vacuum lines).
More to follow (i.e. cries for help as I get deeper into the motor).
