some new beef on the rims and a little paint and youd have a pretty sweet rig, at least in the pics, the body looks pretty straight. I know pics can be deceiving though..... Then again, its nice to have a truck that you can get rowdey in and not care about scratching the paint.

is it your dd?
I know I'll catch flack, but I want to drop my all terrains and get highway tires the same size. I hate the way they shake goin down the highway. (no, it's not my idler arm or ball joints, I checked)
On the other hand, if its your trail rig, swamp on
Just bought it- 87 SR5 4wd short guy, 74k original miles, all stock. I've ordered a timing kit with metal guides, new t stat and viscous hub, valve gasket kit, and some odds and ends. Going to keep it stock for a while but at some point I want to get a new suspension with maybe MD OME and also do some more permanent rust proofing like por15 on everything below the body.

Wow! You have an absolute gem, this truck would make me break my own rule and buy a yota with that cursed red interior! Damn the red! The only thing on this planet that gets me car sick, every time guaranteed! So I would never buy one, but that truck belongs in a museum. I've seen trucks in this condition go for $10,000+ so if you by chance got it at a bargain you may want to consider selling it at a dandy profit and buying something a little more suited for daily driving, but thats just me. Amazing truck you lucky prick!

How does one get a 30 year old engine bay that shiny??
Just scored this '89 22re off Craigslist for $2500. 188k, I am the 3rd owner. Came with maintenance records in a manilla folder dating all the way back to the original bill of sale and window sticker. I can't wait to fix her up a bit!
