My "new-to-me" 94 4Runner SR5... stock other than a manual-hub conversion, but not for long, but it won't be anything too crazy either. Will get bumpers/winch, better tires and then be made into our camping/fishing rig.

Looks like its the same red as red wagons 2nd Gen 4runner. I think it's a great color for Toyota... Obviously, most important things are how well its been maintained and all that... I gotta check your thread out! Sorry I had to get rid of the old but beautiful bruiser.... , all of us love that truck! But it looks like you have a great new platform to build on here! Congrats bud.

Thanks Chef. Yeah it's a 3.4 5spd. I absolutely love this truck. I've been a mini truck and runner guy my whole life. I'd never dreamed of owning a T100 for numerous reasons. But with my job and my family I needed a larger truck. Yeah my 93 could haul anything I ever hooked to it although it was really hard on it. I was needing a full size truck but I would never swap to a ford or something else. So that's the main reason I got this T100. And trust me! After driving it I wouldn't trade it for anything. I got the same ride quality as my 93 but I got more power and all kinds of room. And this thing will hit 100mph in no time TRUST ME lol. I catch myself speeding constantly. Go check out my build thread. I've got a lot of stuff posted in it already.

It has pretty good springs on it too.

Give her a bath today after I got it very filthy in Big Bear... At one point we were doing like 50 or more down the back road... It was like an apocalyptic dust cloud! Not to mention we a few puddles and we're in the dirt and such all that day... I found treating the transfer case crossmember and frame and axles with wax really helps to make it very easy to clean... I do the tops and sides of the leafs as well..... I really love TR8 and black magic thick carnauba paste wax.... I haven't had very good luck with other black magic products, but that has proven to serve me well over the last 5 years. It has excellent reviews as well. The TR8 is incredible at removing oxidization. It's time to do the driver side again...

Hey mang! ....

Nope,.... The front bumper is from Scotty at addictedoffroad.com .... The rear bumper is from Adam at .... 4xinnovations.com..... I love both of them! The rear is actually class 2 rated... One of the only 2 bumpers that I know of that is... Let me tell you something, both of those things have taken a pretty major hits on the rocks and so forth and never shown a single sign of it aside from paint.

Adams bumper, well it is a little bigger, so there will be more weight and it hangs a little bit lower... But on 35's with my lift I clear everything pretty well.

Here's the rear bumper...

Thanks, I'll definitely check them out. I really like that rear, thanks for the pic. I love that roof rack too. Now to check out your build thread because I'm going to copy your rig!

Rocks aren't really a concern around here luckily (unluckily, whatever way you look at it), but deer/moose are so a stout front bumper is first on my list after a good tune-up.

Right on, fish... Just make sure you look into all the details such as whether you're going to have a winch, do you have a body lift or will you to fit some monster engine swap? Things like that can change which one for you order from them... I think this front bumper could take out most anything it hits and would probably lunch something like a Yugo through the posts for a clean 2 points! Hahaha... Poor Yugo! Lol

Thanks for the advice! A winch is for sure. I really don't have much plans beyond winch/bumpers, 31's, a locker, maybe gears, a roof rack and lights. It won't be taken through anything extreme, mostly the random mud hole maybe a little bit of snow wheelin'. Just enough to get us to (and back out of) the areas we fish/hunt/camp without constantly being worried about gettin stuck like in our 2wd Ranger It might get a small lift down the road, but that won't be for a while. My Mustang drains my wallet, so it's always going to be back and forth about which one to put the money in to.

Hey Chef, it's been a while! Do you have any more info on the TR8 you mentioned? Can't seem to find anything by searching. Any wax/polish that get's a good review from an owner of an old red Toyota is worth a try...damn oxidation on this old red paint drives me nuts.

I believe rad 4 runner dug up some info on the black magic, but I'm not sure if you found any on the TR8....

They have it at O'Reilys auto parts too, if you've got them around. I use the same stuff. My truck is gray, but it makes it look good just the same haha
