Aint it often the case? "Wife says, 'WHY YOU BOTHER WITH THAT THING?', ....PO had felt, "Who cares, I'ma sell it anyway,...'VROOOOOOOOOM, KERPLUNK, VROOOOOOOOOOM' ", ....and when you fix one thing, ...something else breaks! lol. Seems like most guys take those boots off... but on mine, I was looking, and like your rear one...they're NOT taken off without some serious prying/hacking, lol. They appear to be fixed in there. Not sure why they changed em. Maybe you could have just asked them, "Hey, why you send me these versions?" ????? They are pretty good on warranty, right? So, God forbid something happens, ... you'll get the black cover ones like your rear/my fronts???
so my fronts are OME classics, the ones you have are the newest version, nitro sport. they did more than just change the boot. the sport can handle more weight and said to be stiffer. im kinda glad i have the classics as i really want a softer ride. just wish they had the newer look to them. the classics are only 2 year warranty while the sports are 3 years. i guess if i really want, i can in a year say they are no good and get the newest ones
