I see this 4 runner down the street during dog walks. I looks like its not driven much. I am going to ask owner when I see him if he wants to sell it. My guess its an 85 or 86 22re

looks like an '85..

solid axle makes it NOT an '86.

EFI badge on the rear makes it NOT an '84.

It looks pretty clean Teuf. Would be a pretty nice find if he would be willing to sell for cheap

Depends on whats wrong with it. I usually see good running 1st gens going for about $2000-$2500 in my area and thats for the IFS runners.

I would talk to them and see whats wrong with it

Advice on bumpers

I love your runner. i just got an 88 sr5 runner rolling chassis that needs quite a bit of work and was just wondering if it would be better to build some bumpers or buy them. i would prefer to build them but i have non clue where to start other than the cardboard one i made and it still doesnt look right. any tips?

Yeah im kinda in your shoes. I bought a welder a couple weeks ago and ive been practicing welding...im getting better at it.

Ive also been checking out all the bumper builds and getting ideas on what I want mine to look like.

I say you go for it and build your own. It will be fun to design and fab up a bumper plus you can make the bumper the way YOU want it
