'88. 22RE, 5-Speed. Stocker! Pretty kickass for a first car, I'm only 16
and I paid for ALL of it myself, and do ALL of the work myself.

Nice looking 4-Runner, Rusche! Good Job paying for it yourself..

Were vent windows an option in '88? I thought the last year for those was '87.

Toyota must have had a few leftovers. Mine is also an '88 and has the vent windows. I've read elsewhere that 87 was the last year for vents, yet have seen quite a few '88s with them.

88 4runner 5spd 230,00 miles

My 88 4runner has the vent windows also.I got this Toyota for $800.00 and had to get a radiator, thermostat, battery and some belts. Then i got the SR-5 wheels with tires for $250 of Craigslist.I got some 6-inch shackles from WabFab to take the sag out of the rear.A freind at work welded in some chromoly braces between my shackles. The chromoly tubing was cut off of a BMX bike fork steertube so its pretty thick. They are complete overkill! LOL When the temperature in Iowa gets liveable I will throw them on.

just outta curiosity, how wide are those BFG's and how wide of rims are you running?

I agree...that 4Runner looks great! I love that AllPro tube bumper. If I wasn't getting an ARB front bumper already for a good price, I'd definitely consider that AllPro one. Great job on that 4Runner.

Thanks, they are 33x10.5s on some American Racing rims, I love it, but I need a rear bumper and Lt

Here it is wheeling with new Hella 500s wired up and with my sliders I welded together
