My Before and After pictures

I bought my 92 4Runner new. It's been a great vehicle and decided that we should start giving it some attention to make it feel better. Tell me what you think. I've got a list of items I still want to do with it. It's a 92 SR5 V6 with all options available in 92, including leather. I'm new to posting pictures here, so I'll give it a whirl.

you guys are either going to like me or hate me but this is my project from my grandparents. it had a beyond repair portion(tree fell throught it) so we tore that off so that the truck didnt go to waste. it has 39436 miles on it. it doesnt look like this presently but it has a back and is getting a roof as i post. i will get more pics as soon as its done. tell me what you think, pm or post. i want to kno if i'm weird or you guys would do the same. I also need color suggestions or styles and am open to opinion.

this thing is fast and lites the tires up super easy. does anyone now the horspower numbers of a 3.0?

it has 39436 miles on it.

we're thinkin of painting it with the patina style in mind. I dont kno if anyone gets hot rod mag but there was kurt urbans nova that was a sleeper that had ugly green paint but a twin supercharged engine. The paint would be a forest green with fake rust showing through and sun damage. but the interior would be nice new carpet seats and others. The reason is that were leavin the rest of the truck how it is and want to give it a paint job that matches the rest of the truck.

other plans:

flat bed

and throwing the idea around about no rear window.

i'm open to other paint ideas and questions and comments are awesome

You getting ready to SAS that thing, right?

Kidding aside, that is awesome. Certainly not weird. I periodically look through eBay thinking I will pick one up and make some sort of ultimate tailgating vehicle out of it. What all are you planning to do with it? Please make this buildup its own thread outside of this sticky.

i will make it a sticky and i'll take pictures as i fix it up. the idea was to put not too much money in it so we just would have a fun cheap truck. the thing is it would be hard to track down a replacement body. it would be expensive and time consuming to replace everything. so we just welded a piece of 16g sheetmetal to the back. and the top will either be fiberglass or sheetmetal depending how it goes. and aside from that we a fixed a few rust spots and holes from the extra big mirrors and cv and then did lots of bondo to get rid of the seam were the truck and sheetmetal meet. from the outside it looks factory but the inside it doesnt, so i'll get pics.
