Post pics of your TG winch plate based bumper.

Thinking about getting the winch mount and fabbing up my own bumper. Something simple. Looking to see who else has done something this.

My end goal is something like this. ( I know this is not with the TG mount)

Thats my truck on the left. Bumper I want to mimic on the right.

Lets see what you have. Any home made front winch bumper pics?

I am sure you know, but Sky Manufacturing makes a bumpers very similar the one in the pic.

Having said that I am all for making custom stuff. I just don't have the knowledge or resources.

I knew about sky, and Im sure its a great bumper, but I cant swing $600 price tag.

Its hard for me to get shop time in, so buying the TG mount means less time spent making the little parts.

This is the route I'm planning on taking. The best looking DIY bumper based off the TG winch plate has gotta be this one: "Check this bumper out"
Only thing is all the pics are gone and I never saved myself a copy either. I already PMed them and didn't hear back about a month or two ago. If someone else has them or knows how to retrieve them then awesome, because that was a sweet bumper - this is the bumper you want (minus the naked woman cutouts unless that's your thing)

I know I've seen Pirate has a stickied thread of homebuilt Toyota front bumpers, but I'm not a member over there and I can't find the link. Can anyone give me an assist?

there are tons of pics on pirate if you search through all the BS. you should sign up over there just to be able to use the search function more easily. if you post anything there, they'll basically just tell you to use it.

here's one of many bumper threads HERE and here's a link to a bumper thread that have several plate bumpers designed similar to how I want mine to be (which look most similar to the one i was referring to in my previous post) HERE

My thoughts are get the winch mount and get my winch (fixed), then on it so It can be used instantly. Then, when I have the time to make the rest of bumper, I will.

Check out DIRTCO's bumper. He made his own winch mount but I'm sure you could do something similar with the TG mount. His is a tube bumper.

And fully boxed and painted

Looks a lot better with the winch in there minus my bad grill cutting job:

Thats a pretty sleek design. Almost looks stock! But my stock bumper is trashed...not worth saving

I hope you dont ever hit anything...bye bye highlift...

That looks really good, Rattle. Are you going to add more protection for the winch? Seems like the winch cradle sticks out really far without any support or protection. Yes, its 1/4", but that can still bend very easily with a 2 ton truck behind it

I like that, good job rattlewagon. Did the frame brace come from TG also?

Not sure about the turn signals and lack of marker lights though, that might be a ticket magnet in my state.

thanks its only temporary til i get mine fabbed up. yours is simple and effective. i would recomend a triangulated support going from the left and right "wings" back to the frame, i could see them bending in a collision.
you could even make it a bolt through design utilizing the four shear bolt locations for heavy pulls

4xInnovations made the brace. Its pretty beefy. I think addicted offroad makes one too.

Im not worried about the winch mount bending, that partially what the frame brace is for. It might get some side support down the road though like MP suggested, but will do for now.

Only thing I changed was the switching the roller fairlead out for a hawse one so I could use the hitch mount at a recovery point. And some minor bracing on the side pieces.

Very minimalist style. Simple yet functional. What'd u spend on the mount plate and where did u buy it? Best price I've found is from bytortruck.com
